For God so loved the world He gave His only Son,
That whoever believes in Him, Will not perish,

VERSE 1
Men of faith looked forward to Christ’s coming,
Believing in the promise yet unseen,
their faith was being sure of what they hoped for,
trusting in what God would soon reveal.
VERSE2
We look back upon our Saviors coming,
Believing in the truth and mystery,
Christ became our sin and suffered for us,
He died, He rose, He claimed our victory.
VERSE 3
We rejoice upon our Savior’s coming,
The Word in flesh revealing truth to man,
Through Him we live and breathe and have salvation,
Through Him we are restored to God again.
VERSE 4
We look forward to the second coming,
When every knee will bow before our King,
When God will live among His chosen people,
and death will die with mourning, sin, and pain.
