Alrightie, I was tagged… so here goes.

1. What are you reading on Spring reading days?
assigned reading… between the flu and scheduling this semester, I’m behind. :-(

So far I’ve finished 4 chapters of Grudem’s Systematic Theology, 7 Chapters in Gibbs/Bolger’s Emerging Church, the remaining piece of Kidd’s One Voice, and the next section of Metzger’s Tell the Truth. I also need to read Volume 1 of a Pastors Sketches and Part I of Best’s Unceasing Worship.

2. What do you wish you had time to read?
Anne Rice’s new novel, and Velvet Elvis by Rob Bell (I’m curious, alot of assumptions are made about him based on some comments in the book). Those will be first on my reading list this summer. Also, reading up on javascript frameworks. There’s a blog refocus/redesign in my near future.

3. What have you decided NOT to read that you were assigned to read.
Um, I actually read EVERYTHING, although sometimes things are finished late. I’m sacrificing too much to be at seminary to NOT do the reading. I want to get everything out of my classes that I can!

4. What is one great quote from your reading?
“Creative potential will be realized only to the extent that the leadership has a wide and comprehensive view of gifting and is able to develop individuals by providing opportunities for them to give expression to their God-given talents in a community that provides both affirmation and honest assessment.” p.189, Emerging Churches

5. Why are you blogging? (You’re supposed to be reading!)
Um, cause I was tagged. Everyone needs a break, otherwise the pages all blur together.
;-)

I was tagged by Terry Delaney, and here’s the original post on Said at Southern.
