PERSONAL STATEMENT

God has a way of directing our paths in ways that we could never imagine. On a Sunday morning in April 2002, having not been to church since junior high, I walked into a church service by myself and prayed to rededicate my life to Christ. In fall of 2003 I was asked to lead a bible study for the college ministry, in January of 2005 I joined the college staff fulltime; while still volunteering in the worship ministries. The desire of my heart was to worship God and to see others do the same. Feeling a call into worship ministry, I sought both to increase my musical skill and deepen my theological framework through completing a Masters of Divinity in Worship. I found my home within the Vineyard movement when we moved to Louisville. I believe that spirit empowered worship should model a deep intimacy with God while reflecting the fullness and depth of the character of God, in culturally relevant ways.
