Music Ministry Personal Mission Statement

Under the power of the Holy Spirit; to sacrificially love, serve, educate, and encourage the church, community and world to be passionate worshipers of Christ actively pursuing their God-given callings; through artistic expression of God’s truth, greatness, and mighty acts.

Ministry Essentials

  • To love the community, the church, and the members of my ministry with all of my heart, soul, mind and strength; sacrificially love as He has first loved me. (Matthew 22:37-39; 1 John 4:19)
  • To sing and make melody to the Lord; worshiping with new songs and artistic expressions that proclaim His truth and works that all might believe; specifically expressions that reflect the truth revealed in scripture, that testify to His greatness, and how He is moving in the world today.

  • To develop a passion for participation in, and correct understanding of,God-honoring congregational worship, as well as the worship of God with our whole lives. (Exodus 34:14; Deuteronomy 30:16-20; 1 Chronicles 16:28-36; Hebrews 12:28-29; Matthew 4:10)
  • To use the artistic gifts of the ministry to serve both the body of believers, nonbelievers and the community at large, both inside of and outside of church building. (1 Samuel 16:23; Joshua 6; Acts 16:25)
  • To embrace all artistic forms (vocal and instrumental music, dance, visual art, and storytelling), shaping the worship and arts ministry according to the gifts of the particular body of believers, finding a place for all who are gifted to regularly serve. (1 Corinthians 12)
  • To be subject to the leading of the Holy Spirit, worshipping in both Spirit and Truth. (John 4:23-24; Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:16)
  • To encourage every member of the arts ministry, and the church at large, to develop their unique gifting and pursue their God-given dreams; refusing to make human fear an idol, believing that all things are possible with God. (Ephesians 2:10; 2 Timothy 1:6-7; Mark 9:23; 1 Thessalonians 5:11)
